In April 2022, Coexistence Source Group established a technical cooperation agreement with the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry on probiotic strain isolation, identification, and genome sequencing. A strain collection team was formed, which conducted fieldwork from July 2022 to July 2023. Over the course of one year, the team visited the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Qinghai Province, visiting remote, high-altitude, and pollution-free areas inhabited by herders and long-lived elders. The team traveled over 32,120 kilometers and conducted four rounds of strain collection work.

From the vast and fertile grasslands of Inner Mongolia's Xilingol Plateau to the remote and untouched wilderness of Alashan, from the "World's Longest-Lived Village and Sacred Land of Chinese Centenarians" in Guangxi's Bama to the source of the Yellow River, Yangtze River, and Lancang River in Qinghai, where the average elevation exceeds 4,000 meters...
